Episode 314 Show Notes

From the Show

At this age singing songs is really good. Saying the Lord’s prayer and the Apostle’s creed is a great way to introduce them to the truths of the Christian faith…That’s why the Lord has given us the Lord’s prayer for example. It’s very simple and easy to memorize.

—Michael Horton

Questions in this Episode

1. There are so many challenges facing the church. How do you guys continue to have hope? Do you see the future of the church as better than its current state?

2. I have several friends who are homosexual. Leviticus 18.22 calls it an abomination. But does that mean the church should reject them? This is a common practice in the south to the point that they can’t serve on any church board or whole any office in the church. But Matthew 7 says “don’t judge others lest you be judged.” I know judgment is for the Lord, but I care deeply about my friends who are homosexuals. I’m not sure how we are supposed to handle that?

3. What does it mean for God to be one in essence and three in person? Does God's covenant name, “Yahweh,” belong to the entirety of the Godhead or does it belong more to God the Father?

4. Should Christians live like Jesus could return in any minute even when the church has been waiting over 2000 years for him to return?
