Episode 632 Show Notes

From the Show

There is a difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. Reconciliation requires the party who sinned to recognize what they have done and repent of it. In cases of abuse, if somebody is saying, “you should forgive because Jesus says you should forgive,” and they are making demands from you, that is a huge red flag. Abusers can often operate in this way which should cause us to be very cautious. Even still, it is not always appropriate to restore these kinds of relationships.
