What Does the Bible Say About Astrology?

Episode 735 Show Notes

From the Show

In the time when Genesis was written, the nations looked to the stars as determinative of one’s destiny. They thought that the stars possessed all sorts of power, determining what your future was and other types of things. The sun, the moon, the stars, they’re not there for you to worship or ask what your future holds, that’s what Moses is saying in Genesis. They’re like nightlights for you. God placed them there for you, making them for the benefit of humanity so that we might, as Psalm 19 says, “look at the heavens which declare the glory of God.
