From the Show
Jesus did not say, in Matthew 5, "blessed is persecution." Rather he said, "blessed are you when you are persecuted for my sake." It's not when we are just suffering in general. That's just part of living in a fallen world. We suffer along with non-Christians.

1. In Matthew 5:11–12 when Jesus says that we are blessed when we are persecuted, does he mean this literally?
2. My husband and I are looking for good resources to help teach our kids about Jesus. Do you know any authors that write for small kids that would be suitable for our five-year old?
3. I have a problem with Modern Worship music. A lot of what I hear today is jangle pop and strange things that remind me of the world and sound like bad U2. How do I get passed this?
4. I grew up hearing that God’s church is supposed to be holy, but in our culture today, the church doesn’t look holy and it seems to have fallen for much of the same controversies that I see in the world. What does the Bible have to say about this?
