Those who are united to Christ are incorporated into his body. A Christian can’t be attached to the vine without being, at the same time, grafted onto the other branches. The local church is essential to being a disciple of Jesus Christ. The church isn’t just where disciples go once a week. It’s where disciples are made through the ordinary ministry and the fellowship of the saints.
